The specification called for a 2mm solid sheet. AFS-International studied the design and as a 2 mm solid sheet was not appropriate for this design, came up with a solution which all parties approved: a 50 mm custom made aluminium honeycomb panel fixed in between the main steel grids.
By introducing this special custom made honeycomb panel Mosaco could omit the additional steel supports and the stiffeners that normally has to be fixed onto the 2 mm solid sheet. The Project looks stunning and we supplied within the budget.
